Berries and Goodbyes

Well, it’s finally the holiday season (yay!). I don’t know about you but I’m excited. I can finally go home and have a nice long break from school, responsibilities, and every other thing I’ve been avoiding to get back to what’s truly important in life: dogs. Bacon + Apples = Happiness

Yep, it’s a pretty good day when bacon and apples are involved. This breakfast takes about two seconds and it’s pretty good.  Continue reading “Bacon + Apples = Happiness”

Eggs are Perfection

I’m pretty proud of myself this week. I have never poached an egg before today so I was a little worried about how it would go. I always thought it would be really hard but it actually turned out perfect! Trying new things has its perks sometimes. Continue reading “Eggs are Perfection”

Flashback Monday

Last semester I studied abroad in London. Was it fun? Yeah! It was super fun and it also wasn’t. Like all study abroad trips, there were ups and downs. When I decided to make beans on toast I was feeling sentimental though.

Cinnamon Toast (and ice cream)

This did not turn out how I expected. What I tried to do was make this delicious thing my mom makes when she has extra pie dough. My mom makes pies every Thanksgiving. After she’s done, she takes the extras, spreads out the dough over a baking sheet and sprinkles cinnamon and sugar on top. It’s really good and it’s like a flaky cinnamon pastry chip. What I made was not like that because I am lazy.

Evening Toast

This is a great snack to have at any time of the day. I chose to have Brie and apple toast as a late night snack. I kind of thought of this combination myself. Although, the recipe has an inspiration.

To Leaf or Not to Leaf

This week I was thinking about trying to do something with vegetables. If you’re like me and every other person in America, then you probably find yourself thinking sometimes: I don’t think I’ve eaten a vegetable in quite some time. Then you look at your phone and see a video of a turtle eating a piece of lettuce and think: Wow, he is really going to town on that piece of lettuce. I wonder what it feels like to have such unbridled joy over a piece of lettuce. This turtle knows the secret to life that’s for sure.
